nhs111When We Are Closed

The surgery’s out-of-hours service is provided by NHS 111.

To access this service please ring ‘111’ .

If a patient  happens to ring any of our surgery telephone number’s (01226 282535 / 01226 244946) they  will hear a message directing them to replace the telephone reciever and dial ‘111’. This is free from both landlines and mobiles.

The service will then help you or direct you to the best possible service for your symptoms.

Please note: bi-monthly the surgery closes for two hours from 12:30 to 14:30 for a full practice meeting with all staff, for training purposes. The surgery will provide an ‘out of hours’ service  called NHS111 on this day. Patients should still ring the normal surgery telephone numbers and will be re-directed accordingly. A notice will be situated on the main reception desk informing patients of the time and date of the Practice Staff meeting

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
